Nawab Malik vs Sameer Wankhede: Politician now shares school leaving certificates of NCB officer

Reiterating his earlier claim that Mumbai's Narcotics Control Bureau Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede is a Muslim, Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik has shared two school leaving certificates that allegedly belong to the top cop. The documents, which show Wankhede's middle name as ‘Dawood’ were issued from St. Joseph's High School, Wadala, and St. Paul High School, Dadar, and state 'Muslim' in the religion field. Hitting back at the NCP leader for his allegations, now, the Sameer Wankhede camp have also shared some documents to prove that there was no wrongdoing on Wankhede's part. A school leaving certificate of 1995 mentions his name as Wankhede Sameer Dyandev and caste as ‘Mahar’. Nawab Malik, after sharing the documents had said, 'I have already submitted these and other details to the Hon'ble Bombay High Court, which will pass its interim orders later today. Wankhede has been indulging in frauds and is an expert in creating 'fake certificates'.' Earlier, Malik had claimed that Wankhede was born a Muslim but forged documents, including a caste certificate, to state that he belonged to the Hindu SC category to get a job under quota after clearing the UPSC examination. Responding to the documents shared by Wankhede's camp, Malik said and we quote: 'He is using computerised certificates. All of them are bogus. We have submitted the real certificates to the court and they are all documented. He is sure to lose his job now.' Reacting to the allegations, Sameer Wankhede, who got pulled into this 'he said she said' mess after he busted an alleged 'rave' party on a cruise ship and arrested superstar Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan in a drugs case, said: 'I would like to express that my father Sh. Dnyandev Kachruji Wankhede retired as a senior police inspector of the State Excise Department, Pune on 30.06.2007. My father is a Hindu and my mother, Late Mrs Zaheeda, was a Muslim.'
