When Katrina Kaif opened up about her parents' separation

Bollywood diva Katrina Kaif and dashing Vicky Kaushal have been the talk of the town ever since they started dating each other. Now, after ETimes first informed that the couple will be tying the knot in Decemeber, fans are eagerly waiting for the official confirmation. However, neither the stars nor their teams have confirmed about the big fat wedding yet. Katrina's mother was also recently spotted outside a store. Meanwhile, we stumbled upon an old interview of Katrina with Filmfare where she opened up about her parents' separation. Katrina's mother Suzanne Turquotte and father Mohammed Kaif got separated when she was a child. She has seven siblings. Opening up about how she was raised by her single mother, Katrina had expressed the void of not having a father-figure in her life. She said, 'Not having a father figure does create a certain vacuum and makes any girl feel vulnerable. When I have kids, I want them to have the experience of being with both parents'. She further added, "Each time I've gone through something emotionally hard, I was compelled to reflect that it must be nice for those who have a strong fatherly support from a male figure, who loves you unconditionally." However, in the same interview, Katrina also shared that she highly looks up to her mother for raising her and all the 7 children single-handedly. She said, "I asked her what were you thinking when you had so many children and how did you do it on your own. But in the last few years, what my mom had to say about life, has been much more helpful to me. It bears more weight. Now that you can see things from a distance, you realise it must have been tough for her". On the work front, Katrina is basking in the success of her latest released film 'Sooryavanshi'.
