2:14Now PlayingEver since the emergence of a new COVID-19 variant, Omicron, the nation is again on alert and doing every bit to tackle this situation. In order to create awareness about COVID protocols, Mumbai police, who often drop witty posts on social media to raise awareness on social matters, have used a scene from the upcoming Kabir Khan flick '83' and made the citizens remember the need of wearing masks at all times and follow the COVID-19 protocols laid by the government. The social media department of the Mumbai police took to their Instagram handle and shared a dialogue from Ranveer Singh‘s upcoming movie ’83’, 'He doesn’t know defence', and had a quirky caption to it which reads, 'When you don’t wear your mask in spite of ’83’ million reminders.' As soon as the post surfaced on social media, it went viral in no time. While the post has garnered more than 11k likes till now, several netizens even rushed to the comment section to laud the creativity of the police department. While one of the users wrote, '@mumbaipolice lit!! Salute!', another one commented, 'Uff now that's a reminder'. Many netizens were even left in splits with the quirky post and dropped laughing emojis. Meanwhile, this is not the first time, Mumbai police have used Bollywood films and dialogues as a reference to create awareness. Earlier, amid the first wave of COVID-19 pandemic, Mumbai Police had shared a meme inspired by the film 'Stree' to remind people to keep off the streets. The social media department of Mumbai police took to its Twitter handle and dropped an iconic dialogue from the film 'O stree, kal aana', but with a twist. Police dropped a picture saying 'O Corona kabhi mat aana' and tweeted 'The only mantra we need to keep #EverySTREEtSafe is not to venture out on the STREEts #TakingOnCorona #coronavirus #CoronavirusOutbreakindia #COVIDー19' .
