2:56Now PlayingBollywood actress Sunny Leone's latest song, 'Madhuban', is facing the wrath of a section of people for hurting religious sentiments. The song and the actress are trending on social media, but for the wrong reasons. On Monday, 'Arrest Sunny Leone' started trending on Twitter. Many have expressed objection over the lyrics and the theme of the video. A while ago priests in Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura demanded a ban over Sunny Leone's video song. Post this, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra also raised his voice against the song. He even issued a warning to actress Sunny Leone, and composer of the song Shaarib and Toshi to apologize and withdraw their music video within three days, else they will have to face action, and an FIR will also be registered against them. In a conversation with a leading news channel, the minister said, 'Some vidharmis are constantly hurting Hindu sentiments. Radha is our goddess. We worship her and have different temples for her. Can Shaarib compose such a song on his own religion? They are hurting Hindu sentiments. I am warning Sunny Leone ji, Shaarib and Toshi ji to understand. If they don't remove the song after apologising in three days, then we will take action against them.' Meanwhile, after noticing the matter escalating, the music label has now issued a statement addressing the issue and said the company will change the lyrics and the name of the song 'Madhuban'. In the statement, the music label stated, 'In light of the recent feedback & respecting the sentiments of our fellow countrymen, we will be changing the lyrics & the name of the song Madhuban. The new song will replace the old one across all platforms over the next 3 days.' Meanwhile, amid all this Sunny Leone took to her social media handles to announce the release of another music video 'Machhli' which is directed and choreographed by Adil Shaikh. 'Machhli' is sung by Pawni Pandey and Shahid Mallya, penned by Raahi and composed by Karan Lakhan and Oye Kunaal.
