Kriti Sanon remembers Sushant Singh Rajput, recalls the night they discussed 'Raabta' failure

The year 2022 seems to be the busiest year for Bollywood beauty Kriti Sanon as the actress has 4-5 releases. Known for her bindaas acting skills, Kriti recently opened up about the failure of her 2017 released film 'Raabta' which also starred Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead role. 'Raabta' also featured critically acclaimed actors like Rajkummar Rao, Jim Sarbh and Varun Sharma in pivotal roles but it failed to impress the audience as well as the critics and crashed badly at the box office. During an interaction with an entertainment portal, Kriti revealed that she along with SSR and director Dinesh Vijain were ‘really sulky’ and ‘depressed’ with the poor opening of the film. Recalling the night, Kriti said 'It was a funny night. We were all sulking, we were depressed, we’d gone through really bad reviews and we didn’t know what to say. Dino was just like, ‘Aajao yaar, mood kharab hai (Come over, guys, I’m in a bad mood)’. We went there and opened a bottle of wine. Dino said, ‘I think it’s the flashbacks, I should have made it simple. Why did we go tribal?’ Earlier, there was a draft that had a normal raaja-raani. It’s more relatable to people, right? But we felt like we wanted to go a little different… I was having a glass of wine, and I said, ‘I told you this!' Kriti also revealed that during the shooting of the film she was the one who told Dinesh that the flashback love story doesn't come across as well. She also mentioned that at that time both Sushant and Dinesh looked at her like 'isko kuch nahi pata hai' but later, after the failure, they said the same things.
