as posted by the channelVeteran singer and music composer Bappi Lahiri passed away at CritiCare Hospital in Mumbai at the age of 69. Dr Deepak Namjoshi, director of the hospital, told a news agency, "Lahiri had been admitted to the hospital for a month and was discharged on Monday. But his health deteriorated on Tuesday and his family called for a doctor to visit their home. He was brought to the hospital. He had multiple health issues. He died due to OSA (obstructive sleep apnea) shortly before midnight.' As soon as the news of Bappi da's demise broke, fans paid tribute to the departed soul on social media. Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit was among the first from the film industry to tweet about Bappi da's death and wrote, 'Shocked to hear about the demise of rockstar #BappiLahiri ji. Can’t believe my next-door neighbour is no more. Your music will always remain in our hearts . ॐ शान्ति !'. In April last year, he was admitted to the hospital after testing positive for COVID-19. However, Bappi Da was discharged soon. Bappi Da is known for popularing disco music in India in the 80s and 90s. Some of his most popular songs include Chalte Chalte, Disco Dancer, Tune Maari Entriyaan, Asalaam-e-Ishqum and Sharaabi among others. Bappi Lahiri last Bollywood song was 'Bhankas' which was a part of Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor’s 2020 movie 'Baaghi 3'.
