2:22Now PlayingNeha Dhupia, who is currently garnering praises for essaying the role of a pregnant cop in the film 'A Thursday' with so much perfection, recently revealed that she got fired from a few projects when she announced the news of her first pregnancy. In a conversation with an entertainment portal, while revealing how makers of the film 'A Thursday' changed the script after they came to know about her second pregnancy, Neha disclosed that she did not get the same response everywhere. She said, 'During Mehr’s time, I had to create work. I did my own podcasts and other non-fiction television shows. I was being myself because being pregnant wasn’t a problem at all. I always worked right to the end. But the industry changes.' She further added, 'Before I announced my pregnancy, I was a part of a few projects. Did I get fired from those projects? Yes, I did. Was anything wrong with it? The physicality changes and then you don’t want to play the character or the people who hired you don’t want you to look like that… so be it!' Neha also mentioned that she wants to bring a positive change and said that she can’t use every stage to talk about empowering women if she can’t lead by example. Earlier, in an interview, Neha opened up on playing a character of a pregnant cop in the film 'A Thursday' while she was already pregnant. She said, 'It is a little tough. It is uncomfortable. It’s beautiful. What you’re going through. But I always kept the reference point more towards being the cop and less towards my physicality changing because in any case, my physicality is going to be so natural to being pregnant because I generally was, I didn’t have to work too much towards that.' Neha and her hubby Angad Bedi welcomed their first child, daughter Mehr, in 2018. Last year, on October 3, the couple embraced parenthood for the second time after welcoming a baby boy.
