1:44Now PlayingShahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur starrer 'Jersey' release has now been postponed to April 22 and the probable reason behind it is a legal tussle. Yes you heard that right, ETimes has it, that a writer Rajneesh Jaiswal has filed a case against 'Jersey' makers in the Mumbai High Court, alleging that the film's story/script is his, and it might be the reason why the makers have pushed the release date. Shahid Kapoor's 'Jersey' is the adaptation of the 2019 Telugu film of the same name starring Nani. The story revolves around the struggle of a retired cricketer in his late 30s, Arjun Raichand, who wants to start playing again. Directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri, the film has Shahid Kapoor's father, veteran actor Pankaj Kapur as Arjun Raichand's coach. Recently while interacting with a news portal, Shahid Kapoor talked about his experience working with his father. He feels that acting with his dad Pankaj Kapur is much easier than to have him as a director. Shahid revealed, 'It was easier to act with him than to have him as a director. It was much more relaxed. We used to get time to chill and have a cup of coffee together in between shots.' For more news and updates, stay tuned to ETimes.
