Ahead of the film’s release, Aamir launched the first song of the film titled ‘Kahani’ during a radio show and the superstar interacted with the audiences via the same medium. During the interaction, Aamir revealed his mother Zeenat Hussain felt after watching the film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. The superstar also acknowledged that his mother's opinion or review of his work matters the most to him. Amidst the test screenings of the film, Aamir’s mom had watched the film. The actor also shared that his mom loved the film and even advised him to no cut anything from it. Aamir also revealed that his mom is very upfront in reviewing his performances and that she honestly reviews it. Speaking about the same Aamir said, ‘Main hamesha Ammi ka pehla reaction leta hu. Koi bhi cheez ke liye. Uske baad main bachon ka leta hu’. Opening up about the time when his mom doesn’t like his work, Aamir said, ‘Ammi gives a very clear response. When she doesn't like something, she says 'remove, what is it made. Jab cheez unko pasand nahi aati hai toh kehti hai 'Hatao, yeh kya banaya hai'. Interestingly the actor also revealed the exact words of his mother as she watched the film. Quoting her mom’s words Aamir said, ‘Aamir don't listen to anyone. Your film is very nice. You release it as it is. Don't cut anything.’ Talking about the film, 'Laal Singh Chaddha' is a Hindi remake of Tom Hanks' 'Forrest Gump' and it also stars Naga Chaitanya and Mona Singh in pivotal role. Helmed by Advait Chandan, the film is slated to release on August 12, 2022.
