Through one of the PIL's, the petitioner wants a CBI probe into the singer's death, while the other petition seeks an independent investigation in the case. KK passed away on May 29 in Kolkata after performing at Nazrul Mancha stadium. Heccomplained of uneasiness after the show and collapsed at the hotel. He was rushed to the hospital where the doctors declared him dead. According to reports, Kolkata Police has stated that there was no overcrowding at the stadium, the AC was fully functional and there was no stampede-like situation at the event.
