His son Ayushmaan performed the last rites and wife Shikha was in tears as she bid her final goodbye to her husband. Raju was rushed to hospital on August 10 after he had a heart attack in the gym, He had been on ventilator since then. His close friends, Sunil Pal, Ahsaan Qureshi and Madhur Bhandarkar were at the Nigambodh ghat in Delhi
