Nikhil has two daughters from his previous marriage and Dalljiet has son Jaydon from her wedding with Shalin Bhanot. While talking with ETimes TV, Nikhil said he was alwaya prepared that the life partner that he has now will have a child or children and they will be his. He said he doesn't believe in step son or step mother for him Jaydon is now his son Jaydon Patel. Dalljiet also said that she loves their daughter Ari who stays with them. Nikhil and Dalljiet both said though second wedding is considered a tabboo but they said it is ok to do it again and not stop living life just because society doesn't think it is right.
