as posted by the channelA tragic incident occurred on Sunday in Thanoor, Malappuram district, Kerala, as a houseboat carrying tourists capsized, resulting in the loss of 22 lives. Several passengers, including children, were on board the boat when it overturned at Ottumbram Thooval Theeram. The authorities managed to rescue eight individuals, who are currently receiving treatment at various hospitals. It is disheartening to note that a significant number of the deceased were women and children. The ill-fated boat had two decks, with an upper deck for passengers to stand and a lower deck with seating arrangements. Our thoughts and condolences go out to the affected families during this difficult time.
