Talking about his decision to take the drastic step, Rao said his live-in partner has filed several false cases against him and demanded money and valuable things in return when he asked her to withdraw the fake cases. He also said, "The poison spread all across the body, but it was thankfully treated in time. I am ashamed of my actions but I had no option left.
