Virender Sehwag takes a dig at Prabhas' Adipurush with 'Baahubali' twist, faces backlash

Om Raut’s Adipurush faced wrath of netizens as well as critics, industry people and politicians. From poorly written dialogues to costumes, the film receiving backlash for many reasons. Now, former cricketer Virender Sehwag criticised the Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan starrer with a meme on social media. In a tweet he wrote, "Adipurush dekh kar pata chala Katappa ne Baahubali ko kyun maara tha'' However, Sehwag also got trolled for his tweet as one user wrote, 'Aakhir aap bhi ye baath pe attention lena chahthe kya viru paji? Aapke stature ko bilkul suit nahi kartha maa kasam!!', another one tweeted, 'Lost My respect'. A netizen even wrote, 'bhut late ho gye aap… itne din paid tweet ka wait tha kya??' Another one called Sehwag copy cat saying 'Tweets copy karna band karo boomer uncle'. Now, talking about the film, the All India Cine Workers Association recently wrote to the Home Minister of India, Amit Shah, demanding an FIR and a case against the makers of the movie, including director Om Raut and co-writer Manoj Muntashir, for hurting religious sentiments. The letter also said that the producers also want to make money selling discounted tickets, which will send a wrong message about our learning and faith in the Ramayan.
