as posted by the channelEvery day a new development has been coming to light in the two-year-old drugs on cruise case where Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan got clean chit. Recently, former NCB officer Ashish Rajan Prasad reportedly told CBI that the controversial witness Kiran Gosavi was roped in as part of the investigation team after the approval of the then NCB zonal chief Sameer Wankhede. To give some background, CBI has been investigating a case of corruption and extortion against Wankhede, Ashish, Gosavi and two others for allegedly collecting Rs 50 lakh of the total demand of Rs 25 crore from SRK. Now, Ashish Ranjan Prasad hinted that Aryan’s arrest was a set-up and the bust was compromised. According to Times Now News, Ashish Ranjan Prasad claimed that Kiran Gosavi was brought in as a crucial witness in the Aryan Khan drug case with Wankhede’s approval. He further asserted that he was told that Sameer Wankhede had sent Gosavi, Prabhakar Sail, and another BJP official, Manish Bhanushali, to the location in question. In his statement to CBI, Ashish reportedly said that during the detention of suspects from the cruise terminal, he had inquired and confirmed from Gosavi, Prabhakar Sail and another witness Manish Bhanushali that they were at the spot on the instruction of Wankhede. Earlier Wankhede had claimed that he came to know about Gosavi, Sail and Bhanushali on the day of the drug bust case. CBI has declined to comment on the developments in the investigation. As for the case against Aryan Khan, NCB later dropped it after they found series of lapses in his custody justifying that it was compromised in an intentional manner to give an opportunity to Kiran Gosavi.
