as posted by the channelIn the latest development in the 2021 drug on cruise case, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) recently summoned Munmun Dhamecha, one of the accused who was arrested alongside Aryan Khan and she will be appearing before the investigating agency on July 20. The summons to Munmun is part of the investigation being carried out against former Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) zonal director Sameer Wankhede. CBI has been investigating a case of corruption and extortion against Wankhede, Ashish Rajan Prasad , Kiran Gosavi and two others for allegedly collecting Rs 50 lakh of the total demand of Rs 25 crore from SRK. Aryan Khan along with Munmun Dhamecha and Aryan’s friend Arbaaz Merchant were arrested in the drugs on cruise case and were later granted bail due to “lack of sufficient evidence”. Meanwhile, Ashish Ranjan Prasad even hinted that Aryan’s arrest was a set-up and the bust was compromised. According to Times Now News, Ashish Ranjan Prasad claimed that Kiran Gosavi was brought in as a crucial witness in the Aryan Khan drug case with Wankhede’s approval. He further asserted that he was told that Sameer Wankhede had sent Gosavi, Prabhakar Sail, and another BJP official, Manish Bhanushali, to the location in question. In his statement to CBI, Ashish reportedly said that during the detention of suspects from the cruise terminal, he had inquired and confirmed from Gosavi, Prabhakar Sail and another witness Manish Bhanushali that they were at the spot on the instruction of Wankhede.
