In an interview with Something Haute, the actor said, 'I was offered a role in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Not the character that Imran Abbas played, but the role that Fawad Khan essayed.' Omer went on to share that soon after receiving a scene from the casting director Shanoo Sharma, he eagerly sent audition clips for the role, hoping to make a mark in the Indian film industry. However, fate had a different plan for him, as the role eventually went to the talented Fawad Khan and the movie turned out to be a game-changer for him. Speaking about 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' the film was a 2016 romantic drama that featured a star-studded cast, including Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, among others.
