2:10Now PlayingBollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan are one of the most powerful and beloved couples in B-Town. The duo tied the knot in 1991, and the 'king of romance' has been living happily ever after with his ladylove. However, did you know the couple adopted different names for their wedding ceremonies? Yes. According to reports, while the 'Pathaan' actor chose the name Jeetender Kumar Tulli for the Hindu wedding ceremony, Gauri opted for ‘Ayesha’ for her Nikaah. Mushtaq Sheikh’s book 'Shah Rukh Can' reportedly reveals that King Khan chose the name Jeetender because his grandmother thought he looked similar to the veteran actor. The middle and the surname apparently were borrowed from Rajendra Kumar, whose full name was Rajendra Kumar Tulli. Besides the traditional weddings, Shah Rukh and Gauri also had a court marriage. Meanwhile, on the work front, Shah Rukh will next be seen in the action-packed flick 'Jawan', which is already generating immense buzz among cinephiles, whereas, his wife Gauri has turned producer for this film, scheduled to hit the theatres on September 7 this year. Helmed by director Atlee, the film also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in pivotal roles. For more news and updates, stay tuned to ETimes.
