YouTube Description
as posted by the channelKangana Ranaut has sought the issuance of a bailable warrant against Javed Akhtar after he failed to appear before a Mumbai court. The complaint filed by Kangana regarding her meeting with the ace lyricist in 2016 is being currently handled by the Andheri Magistrate Court. The court had summoned Akhtar to appear before it. However, his lawyer submitted an exemption application, citing an extended family member's medical emergency that required Akhtar to leave Mumbai, preventing him from attending the court. While opposing the application, the 'Queen's actress lawyer applied for a bailable warrant against Farhan Akhtar's father. 'Javed Akhtar intentionally failed and neglected to appear before this court. Therefore, in the interest of justice and equity, it is prayed that a bailable warrant be issued against the accused to compel his appearance on the next date', said Kangana's lawyer. Notably, ever since the actress gave an interview about her and Javed Akhtar's 2016 March meeting, both have been at loggerheads. Reports suggest that amid Kangana's public spat with Hrithik Roshan, Akhtar, who is close to the Roshans, decided to mediate between the two and asked her to apologize to the 'War' actor. Meanwhile, on the work front, Kangana will next be seen in her forthcoming drama, 'Emergency.' For more news and updates, stay tuned to ETimes.
