Recently, a video surfaced on social media wherein the singer flung the tricolour at a crowd. In a clip, Uma, who is known for mixing EDM with Vedic mantras, while performing at a musical event in Pune, was seen holding the national flag in both hands and then tossed it into the crowd. As per media reports, the case against Uma, the lead vocalist of the band Shanti People, was filed by Havaldar Tanaji Deshmukh at the Mundhwa Police Station after the video of the alleged crime spread like wildfire on various social media platforms. Senior police inspector Vishnu Tamhane also confirmed that an offence got lodged against the Ukranian singer and the event organiser Kartik More, under the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act and the Maharashtra Police Act. Meanwhile, netizens aren't please with the video and penning their reactions. One said, 'Arrest her asap', another wrote, 'Zyada cool banne ki koshish kar rahi thi. First, she used the National Flags as pom-poms and then threw them like used tissue paper.'
