Amid this, reports surfaced on the internet stating that the actor's property in Mumbai's Juhu is set for auction due to unpaid dues totaling Rs 56 crore. Soon after this, news came in that Akshay Kumar has extended help to Sunny and mentioned that the 'OMG 2' actor offered to pay a ‘huge chunk’ of the loan, which Sunny would repay him in a stipulated time. Now, Akki's spokesperson has issued a statement and denied the actor helping Dharmendra's son. Setting the record straight, Akshay's spokesperson said, 'All such claims are absolutely untrue.' Sunny's manager also turned down these rumours, calling them 'Completely untrue and false.' Notably, Akshay's 'OMG 2' and Sunny Deol starrer 'Gadar 2' clashed at the box office as they released together on the same day, August 11. Both these movies are receiving massive love from audiences and setting records at the box office. Talking about 'Gadar 2' helmed by Anil Sharma, is a sequel to the 2001 blockbuster, 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha' and managed to grab the second spot in the 2023 openers right after Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan.' On the other hand, 'OMG 2' is the sequel to the 2012 film ‘OMG - Oh My God' and apart from Akshay, it also stars Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in pivotal roles.
