2:19Now PlayingAfter Chandrayaan 3's successful soft-landing on the moon, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee congratulated India's space agency ISRO. However, she got confused film director-producer Rakesh Roshan with Indian astronaut Rakesh Sharma, which led to a memefest on social media. A video clip of Mamata Banerjee went viral, wherein while lauding Indian scientists after Chandrayaan 3 touched the south pole of the lunar, she said, 'When last time Rakesh Roshan landed on the moon, former PM Indira Gandhi asked him how India was looking from there.' Soon after the viral video, Rakesh Roshan and Mamta Banerjee became among the top trends on Twitter. One dropped a snap of 'Jaadu' - an alien in Hrithik Roshan starrer 'Koi Mil Gaya' and wrote, 'When Rakesh Roshan landed on the moon as per Mamta Banerjee, he also took an alien from the moon.' Another wrote, 'Mamta didi sent Rakesh Roshan to space. These people have formed I.N.D.I.A. and aim to rule the country.' 'Another PM hopeful with a bundle of knowledge', said one user. Meanwhile, India has become the first country in the world to make a successful soft landing on the south pole of the moon on August 23. For more news and updates, stay tuned to ETimes.
