A video of a new commercial featuring the ‘OMG 2’ actor along with Ajay Devgn and Shah Rukh Khan has surfaced on social media. Several netizens have criticised Akshay for again doing the elaichi brand advertisement after he had apologised for the first one in 2022. A user commented, ‘Bhai Akshay Kumar ab vimal ki ad nhi krne wala tha na phir kya hua, movie nhi chali isliye krliya kya’, whereas another one wrote ‘Paiso ke liye kuch bhi kr sakta hai .. Akshay Kumar’. One of the fans pointed out, ‘Akshay Kumar to bola tha ab main pan masala ka ad nahi karunga, Kyunki uske fan kafi na khush ho gaye the jab unhone pahli baar vimal ka ad kiya tha, toh yeh dobara kyu kiya ab?’ Notably, Akshay Kumar had issued an apology statement last year that read, ‘I am sorry. I would like to apologise to you, all my fans and well-wishers. Your reaction over the past few days has deeply affected me. While I have not and will not endorse tobacco, I respect the outpouring of your feelings in light of my association with (an elaichi brand). With all humility, I step back. I have decided to contribute the entire endorsement fee towards a worthy cause.
