An FIR has been registered against them and others by a media conglomerate for allegedly promoting the viewing of Indian Premier League (IPL) matches on an online betting app. Badshah even appeared before the Maharashtra Cyber office on October 30th in the matter. According to reports, the media company has claimed that they had the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) to stream the matches. However, Sanjay Dutt and Badshan promoted a tournament by streaming IPL's cricket matches on the betting app without permission. A case of digital piracy has now been filed, and police have said that there are 40 Bollywood actors who can be summoned in this case. Notably, the betting app in question is connected to the Mahadev app, promoted by Sourabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal, who are already under the scanner of the Enforcement Directorate for money laundering. Several B-town celebs, including Ranbir Kapoor, Kapil Sharma, Huma Qureshi, and Shraddha Kapoor, among others, were summoned by ED in connection with the case. However, later investigating officials clarified that celebs were not summoned as accused but to understand their knowledge of the source of the money received to promote the betting app. Meanwhile, coming back to Badshan and Sanjay Dutt, on the professional front, while the rapper is currently appearing on the TV show 'India's Got Talent' as a judge, Sanjay Dutt is keeping busy with multiple projects.
