Throwback to an old interview of Shah Rukh Khan when he got candid about Aryan Khan’s birth

Shah Rukh Khan who celebrates his birthday on November 2 has turned 58 this year. As fans galore outside his Mumbai residence Mannat, let’s take a look at an old interview of the superstar wherein he got candid about his son Aryan Khan’s birth. SRK got married to Gauri Khan in 1991 and Aryan was born in the year 1997. In a 1998-interview with Rediff, the actor had revealed that he dislikes going to hospitals because of the untimely deaths of his parents. Hence, it was difficult for him to see Gauri hooked to numerous medical devices at the time of delivery. He also recalled being so scared that he thought Gauri would die. Shah Rukh reportedly said, ‘I went with her to the operation theatre for her Caesarean. And I thought she’d die. Didn’t even think about the kid at that point in time. It wasn’t important to me. She was shivering so much and I know logically that you don’t die while giving birth to babies. But still, I just got a little scared.’ Further sharing why he named his son Aryan, the ‘Jawan’ actor said ‘I thought when he tells a girl that my name is Aryan, Aryan Khan, she’ll be impressed.’ Talking about Aryan’s looks, SRK later said ‘I don’t know, he’s got expressions like mine… I think. but he’s a mixture (of both). And no I haven’t changed any diapers.’
