India thrash Sri Lanka in World Cup match, Bollywood celebrities hail TEAM INDIA

Team India clashed with Sri Lanka on November 2 in the ongoing cricket World Cup and defeated them with an electrifying performance. With this seventh consecutive win, India became the first team to secure a spot in the semi-finals. The entire nation is celebrating Men In Blue's massive victory, and so are our B-town celebs. Athiya Shetty, who was present at Mumbai's Wankhede stadium to witness the live match and her husband KL Rahul's game, took to her Instagram handle and shared a picture of Team India making a huddle and added tricolour. Actor Ajay Devgn also celebrated Team India's win. He took to his X account, formerly known as Twitter, and shared a picture of the team saying 'Into the Semis' and wrote, 'One step closer to the World Cup. On the other hand, Ayushmann Khurrana penned a note about the history of the Sri Lankan team and called India a 'dominant force' in the ongoing World Cup. 'In the 1996 World Cup, SL recorded the ODIs by going ballistic in the first 15 overs via Jayasurya and Kalu. India had two embarrassing encounters with them, one in Kotla where Prabhakar, the fast bowler was forced to bowl spin coz of their assault. Second, in Eden Gardens, where the match was abandoned due to unruly spectators who couldn’t handle India’s downfall. #WorldCup2023 is a role reversal of sorts, where India is a sheer dominant force.
