3:11Now PlayingRashmika Mandanna recently fell prey to cybercrime as her AI-generated deepfake video surfaced on social media and went viral. The clip showed a woman dressed in a black yoga bodysuit, whose face is morphed as Rashmika, entering an elevator while smiling for the camera. Several celebs like Amitabh Bachchan, Naga Chaitanya, Mrunal Thakur, and others extended support to the actress and demanded strict action. Now, joining the list is Sonnalli Seygall. In an interview with India Today, the 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama' actress opened up about going through something similar. She recalled, 'It has happened to me in the past but not in a video, in the form of pictures. And it was very, very scary then.' Further, the actress added, 'My mom brought it to my notice. It really affected her. She said what are these pictures of yours? And I was like they were morphed.' Expressing disappointment and anger over such an act, Sonnalli mentioned, 'It's very sad. It's scary and makes me angry. It's completely illegal and just because they're faceless people doing this does not make it okay by any standards.' Reacting to Rashmika's deepfake video, the actress stated, 'Immediate action needs to be taken against this. As a girl, as a human being, I don't feel safe because that means anything can be done with whatever is available online.' After Rashmika, actress Katrina Kaif's AI-generated deepfake picture from 'Tiger 3's towel fight scene also emerged on social media. In the morphed picture, Katrina was seen engaging in a fight with Michelle Lee, but instead of a towel, the image showed her wearing a different and altered outfit, making her look indecent.
