Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s Diwali post gets mixed reactions

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone recently took to Instagram to share pictures of their Diwali celebrations. The married couple was seen doing a small puja at their home and also posed for a cute picture wherein Deepika was seen planting a cute kiss on Ranveer’s cheeks. The ‘Piku’ actress wrote in the caption, ‘Diwali ki hardik shubhkaamnayein’ and the pics mixed reactions from fans. While a section trolled the couple with negative comments targeting their recent ‘Koffee with Karan’ episode, some netizens defended them with compliments. A user wrote, ‘Scripted show.. we all know the reality’, whereas another one wrote ‘I was seeing other people bui in my mind i committed to him button’ hinting at Deepika’s statements on the chat show. On the other hand, there were fans of the couple who dropped comments like ‘Ignore the haters deepu i love ur marriage’ and ‘My heart is filled!! You guy's should let them breath and live happily. Why all these negative comments on her post’. One of the fans commented, ‘Happy diwali to the power couple of bollywood’. To give some background, Ranveer and Deepika’s ‘KWK’ episode turned out to be controversial as the couple made some candid revelations and spoke about how they were in an open relationship initially. Deepika said, ‘I wanted to be single for a while because I had come from difficult relationships. I was going through a phase where I said 'I just don't want to be attached, don't want to be committed'. And I had fun! And then he comes along, so I didn't commit, until he proposed to me.
