3:20Now PlayingRecently, a video emerged on social media and went viral wherein Nana Patekar could be seen slapping a man who apparently wanted to click a selfie with him. Now, 'Gadar 2' director Anil Sharma has reacted to the video and clarified that it was actually a shot from their upcoming film. In an interview with Aaj Tak, the filmmaker shared that a video claiming the veteran actor slapped a boy who was trying to take a selfie with him is untrue. 'I have just come to know about this news and was watching the same video. Nana has not hit anyone, rather that is a shot from my film', said Anil Sharma. He added, 'We were filming it on the road in the middle of Banaras, where a boy who comes near Nana has to be hit on the head. Shooting was going on and Nana also hit him. But the crowd gathered there recorded it on their mobile cameras and then leaked the shot of the film. Now, Nana is being projected as a negative and rude actor on social media, which is completely wrong.' Earlier, after coming across the video, several netizens shared their views and penned comments like 'Nana Patekar par physical assault ka case kardena chahiye', and 'Showed his true colors. Even though the fan wasn’t right, he shouldn’t have slapped him that hard. Pathetic.’ Nana Patekar is currently shooting for his film ‘Journey’ in Varanasi, which is being helmed by Anil Sharma.
