Charu Asopa breaks down on camera: ‘This is the condition of woman in a country where...’

Charu Asopa is known to often share glimpses from her day-to-day life with fans on social media. Recently, the actress took to Instagram to post a video wherein she was seen crying on camera. The video was from her recent vlog wherein she revealed that a society refused to give her a house on rent because she is a single mother. In the caption, Charu penned ‘No matter what a woman does in our society, how much ever she does, she can never change the thinking of people. Even today, before giving a woman a home, they see if a man's name is attached to her or not, and if not, she is not given the house. It feels sad to see the condition of the women of our country. And these people who refuse to give home go out and give big speeches in the name of women empowerment. Today again I was forbidden from giving home in 1 society because I am a single mother. And its worth highlighting that the person who refused to give me the house was a woman herself. This is the condition of women in a country where women are worshipped.’ Several fans commented on Charu’s post and penned their reactions on the incident that she faced. A user wrote, ‘I am sure there's a better home waiting for you. Its better not to stay in a place where the mindset is not correct’, whereas another one wrote ‘Don't worry... ma'am..the society doesn't deserve u’. One of the netizens commented, ‘Ek society ne mana kar diya to sab ke samne ro kar kamjori kyu dikha rahi ho duniya khatam thodi ho gayi try at some other place’. For the unversed, Charu Asopa is separated from her husband Rajeev Sen but both are on cordial terms to raise their daughter Ziana.
