In Monday's episode of 'Bigg Boss 17', the 'Baaghi 3' actress was seen discussing about the late actor with Munawar Faruqui. It started with Munawar reciting a shayari about heartbreak but Ankita asked him to stop when the words hit hard and she said, 'Mat Bol Yeh saari cheezein, woh hit Karti hain Buri tareeke sea'. Ankita further said I didn't even attend his funeral.Main toh uske funeral pe bhi nahi gayi thi. Main jaa hi nahi paayi. Mujhe laga main nahi dekh sakti yeh. Vicky ne bola ki tu jaa kar aa. Maine kaha nahi. Kaise dekh sakti hun." On 14 June 2020, Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging in his Bandra apartment after breaking up with Ankita, he started dating actress Rhea Chakraborty.
