Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram get trolled for their wedding outfit; fans defend the actor

Actor Randeep Hooda and his longtime girlfriend Lin Laishram tied the knot in a traditional Meitei wedding ceremony in Manipur's capital city, Imphal, in the presence of their close family members and friends. Several inside pictures and videos from the wedding have emerged on social media and are going viral. While the actor looked like a perfect Manipuri groom dressed in white, Lin opted for a Potloi or Polloi, a cylindrical skirt made of thick cloth and bamboo, as her wedding outfit. However, while fans were in awe of their wedding dresses, a section of netizens was not very impressed and started trolling them, penning harsh comments. While reacting to the couple's outfit, fans dropped comments like, 'The coolest couple' and 'Finally, something different and eye soothing'. One even called it the 'Best wedding of a celebrity till date.' On the other hand, one unimpressed netizen wrote, 'It seems Randeep was feeling cold and covered himself in that white cloth', another wrote, 'Gold ki shop lag rahi bride.' 'Kafan phen ke kon shadi karta hai', said another user. Earlier, while announcing their union, the 'Sarbjit' actor and Lin posted a series of beautiful wedding photos and penned a heartfelt caption that read, 'From today, we are One #JustMarried' followed by a heart and infinity emojis. Meanwhile, on the work front, Randeep will next be seen in the biopic of freedom fighter Veer Savarkar. Not just playing the lead, he will also be helming the film.
