His friend Salam Kazi told ANI that cancer has spread to the liver and other body parts. He added, 'He was ill for 2 months and initially we thought that he might have some minor problem but after that suddenly his weight started decreasing. And when the medical reports came, it said there was cancer in the liver and lungs and a tumour in the intestine and he has also developed jaundice. So the treatment is going on, but the doctors said it's a stage four cancer.' A video of Johnny Lever interacting with the ailing actor has gone viral on social media. Kazi referred to the reports suggesting Johnny Lever visited the actor to help him and clarified that Junior Mehmood doesn't have any financial issue. He added, 'Johnny did ask if any help was needed, but Junior Mehmood's children said they are good. However, Johnny told them that he was there for them and only a phone call away.'
