Nayanthara's Rise: From actress to powerful businesswoman

Nayanthara was recently named as one of the ‘Most Powerful Women in Business’ by a magazine. The actress was named alongside three other women including ‘The Archies’ director Zoya Akhtar who is the director and co-founder of the production house Tiger Baby, SEBI chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch and Joint MD of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Sangita Reddy. Nayanthara posted about her victory on Instagram and also thanked her husband Vignesh Shivan as as she wrote ‘Grateful! Thank u my dear husband for teaching me to DREAM BIGGER.’ She further thanked the magazine ‘for the honour’ and showered love on all the teams of the different business enterprises owned by the couple. Speaking to the magazine, Nayanthara shared a core value that she abides by when it comes being a businesswoman. She reportedly said, ‘Yes, we do make money off the businesses, but it has to be making a positive difference to the people.’ Apart from acting, the ‘Jawan’ actress is known to produce films under the banner Rowdy Pictures along with husband Vignesh. Nayanthara also started her own beauty brand named 9Skin recently. Some of her other ventures are The Lip Balm Company and a sanitary pad company named Femi.
