Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dunki’ becomes his third consecutive film of 2023 to enter the 100-crore club!

Shah Rukh Khan-starrer ‘Dunki’ has officially entered the Rs 100-crore club at the domestic box-office. The Rajkumar Hirani-directorial earned over Rs 29 crore on the first Sunday taking its collections to Rs 102.5 crore. Notably, ‘Dunki’ is SRK’s 10th film to enter the 100-crore club and also the third consecutive film in 2023 after ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’. It is also worth noting that the film will see another good day in terms of earnings on December 25th which is a holiday on the festive occasion of Christmas. The superstar will be looking back at 2023 as the most successful and historic year of his career which has spanned over 30 years. Moreover, the box-office performance of ‘Dunki’ has been moderate compared to his previous films this year. The clash with the Prabhas-starrer ‘Salaar’ has definitely affected the film’s collections. The high-octane action entertainer helmed by ‘KGF’ director Prashanth Neel has roared at the box-office with a record collection of over Rs 209 crore within 3 days. As for ‘Dunki’, the film also stars Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani and Vikram Kochhar in key roles apart from Shah Rukh Khan who is headlining it. It focuses on 'donkey flights' or 'dunki', an illegal immigration technique to enter countries like the US, the UK and Canada.
