In an interview with News18, the actor, who is known for his roles in popular films such as 'Mimi' and 'Stree', reacted to the ongoing Maldives Vs Lakshadweep controversy, remarked that people usually choose the Maldives for ostentatious displays on social media. He expressed his love for the pristine beauty of Lakshadweep and encouraged his fellow countrymen to explore the natural wonders of their own country. During the same chat, Tripathi also expressed his desire to visit the Ram temple in Ayodhya with his family after the consecration ceremony scheduled to take place on January 22. Notably, #BoycottMaldives started trending on social media after Maldivian politicians shared offensive remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he visited and praised Lakshadweep. After PM Modi’s visit, celebrities like Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, John Abraham, and others took to their social media handles and extended their support to Lakshadweep tourism. Coming back to Pankaj Tripathi, on the professional front, the actor is currently promoting his upcoming film 'Main Atal Hoon', wherein he essays the role of former Prime Minister late Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
