In a recent interview, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga addressed criticism from Kiran Rao, who had earlier condemned certain films for normalizing the stalking of women on screen. Without explicitly naming Kiran, Vanga commented, 'Some people don’t understand what they are saying.' Vanga specifically pointed to Shah Rukh Khan's character, Rahul, in the film 'Darr,' stating that Rahul's pursuit of Anjali could be considered as engaging in stalking. Additionally, Vanga brought up Aamir Khan’s film ‘Dil,’ where Aamir's character threatens Madhuri Dixit’s character with rape. Vanga added, 'One assistant director showed me an article from this superstar’s second ex-wife where she claimed that ‘Baahubali 2’ and ‘Kabir Singh’ promote misogyny and stalking. I believe she doesn’t understand the difference between stalking and approaching. I would like to tell that woman to go and ask Aamir Khan about the song ‘Khambe jaisi khadi hai’; what was that? '
