Sonakshi Sinha on working in 'male-dominated movies,' 'Heeramandi,' and with Sanjay Leela Bhansali

Sonakshi Sinha expresses her enthusiasm about collaborating with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, a long-awaited opportunity. While discussing their upcoming OTT show and the dream project Heeramandi at FICCI Frames 2024 in Mumbai, Sonakshi also reflects on her journey in showbiz. She shares, 'I’ve grown and learned through experiences. I started from scratch, having no prior experience on a film set. Unlike my childhood, I never visited my dad’s sets. I had no training in acting or dancing. I wasn't groomed for it. I was thrown into the deep end of the pool and told to ‘swim,’ and that's how I learned. Every experience is cherished as I learned a lot from everyone I worked with.' Sonakshi conveys her appreciation to the director for placing confidence in her. She says, 'It has brought me to the point where Sanjay Leela Bhansali has confidence in me to offer a role like Fareedan, who is very complex.'
