The 81-year-old was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in summer of 2021, family reveals. Mueller family urges to respect their privacy in the statement to NYT. Diagnosis comes after Mueller was subpoenaed to testify in regards to his role as ex-FBI director. He was called to testify regarding government's handling of Jeffrey Epstein investigation. Mueller served as FBI director from 2001-2013, first under George W. Bush and then Barack Obama. He famously led DOJ's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. His investigation concluded that Russia had interfered in election to help Donald Trump win. However, he noted there was no evidence that anyone from Trump's camp colluded with Russia. WATCH-
