Veteran South Korean actor O Yeong-su, best known for his role as the elderly contestant in Squid Game, has been acquitted of sexual misconduct charges after a surprise appellate court reversal. Judges overturned his earlier conviction, ruling there wasn’t enough evidence to prove intent. The 81-year-old Golden Globe winner, who had received a suspended eight-month prison sentence, now walks free after two years of legal battles. The court acknowledged the alleged victim’s testimony but said her memory may have been distorted over time, ending one of South Korea’s most closely watched celebrity trials.
