This rare magnum of Dom Pérignon champagne is going under the hammer at Danish auction house Bruun Rasmussen. The vintage 1961 bottle was specially produced for arguably the most famous royal wedding in history - that of Britain's then-Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer. The now King Charles III married Diana in London’s St. Paul’s Cathedral on July 29, 1981. The ceremony was followed by a lavish reception at Buckingham Palace. The champagne was a limited-edition wedding release, created to celebrate the union. A unique label reads: “Specially shipped to honour the marriage of His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer. 29 July 1981.”
