48:58Now PlayingEach week I take The Orbital Mechanics podcast's series "This week in Spaceflight History" and I recreate the mission in Kerbal Space Program with my friend Uncle Dad. This week's mission, LJ-1B occurred on Jan 21, 1960 out of Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia. Little Joe was a very small suborbital rocket that was used to test the launch escape system of the first manned spacecraft, the Mercury Capsule.
Tune in LIVE ever Wednesday at 900 Central (300 UTC) to join the action at
Make sure and check out the Orbital Mechanics Podcast each week to get the run down on the mission!
