A popular dogma in the Black Manosphere is the belief that Black women throughout the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s in conjunction with media organizations, smeared Black men while uplifting their own image. They cite Sally Raphael, Phil Donohue, Oprah, Ricki Lake, and others as evidence. It's a narrative that ignores historical context. Some go even as far to claim Oprah built her career by bashing Black men.
