It is often said that the Black Manosphere was created by three individuals dubbed the "Big Three": Oshay Duke Jackson, Mumia Obsidian Ali, and AngryMan. While this is true, the community didn't start from scratch. Instead, it built itself upon a preexisting, online community on Black YouTube and operated as an offshoot of the largely White, Manosphere. In this video, I give a non-comprehensive overview on the history of the space from 2008 until 2018, which was the year I first encountered it.
