In the newest attempt to relitigate the 2020 election, the right-wing provocateur Dinesh D'Souza, released a new movie called 2000 mules. Dinesh, who received a presidential pardon from Donald Trump for a felony conviction for making illegal campaign contributions, along with True The Vote purports to have used cell phone geolocation data and video surveillance of mail-in ballot drop boxes to argue that President Joe Biden lost the 2020 election. The movie, which has grossed over $10 million promises that this is only the beginning. This week I speak with Phillip Bump who recently caught up with the director of the film, to ask him what he learned from his one on one interview with the director of the film, Dinesh D’Souza.
