56:38Now PlayingIn this candid conversation, Josh and Rev. Dr. Moniz trace the roots of “romance idolatry,” examine the fallout of evangelical purity culture, and propose a gospel-anchored theology of intimacy that elevates friendship, family, and marriage. Moniz explains why emerging adults wrestle with identity, loneliness, and dating-app fatigue, and shows how Scripture’s friendship-parent-marriage motifs reveal God’s plan for holistic connection. Listeners will hear practical advice on cultivating adult friendships, embracing therapy and spiritual direction, and becoming communities where every relationship—married or single—points back to God’s redemptive love. Keywords: Christian intimacy, purity culture, friendship, emerging adults, gospel-centered relationships.
