More Republicans Announce They Are Leaving Their Corrupt Party

This week saw even more high-profile Republicans announce that they were leaving the GOP, including former McCain campaign chief Steve Schmidt. But should we really be welcoming these people with open arms? Have they really seen the error of their ways? Farron Cousins explains why skepticism for these individuals is absolutely necessary.

This week, we saw even more former high profile Republicans jumped ship and say, Hey, I'm a Democrat. Now, uh, you had the former chair of the New Hampshire Republican party. You of course had the big one of, of Steve Schmidt, the guy who ran John McCain's campaign into the ground, uh, he also ran the campaigns of, or worked on the campaigns of shorts and egg or running for governor out there in California. He worked on the Bush campaign. Um, and now he says I'm done with the Republican party. They're so horrible. They tried to overthrow democracy. I'm a Republican. That's what the New Hampshire, former GOP chair said to, you know, they attempted a queued, overthrow democracy. I'm done y'all are absolutely lying to the public about what's happening here. All of these Republicans, like the Lincoln project type Republicans who are jumping ship, I'm like, Oh, I'm a Democrat now who it's.

Cause you think there's grifting to be done over there. And apparently show us seeing how some of these centers Democrats are welcoming you. Yeah. There's probably a lot of grifting to be done. Y'all are going to get hired to run these campaigns. You're going to make millions and millions and millions of dollars because you personally, you have no real political ideology. You have no political home because you don't want one. You just want to go wherever the money is and you will tailor your beliefs to be whatever that money wants you to believe. That is what is happening here. Folks, I don't trust these individuals as far as I can throw them. But fair in you ask what I say are these people not entitled to change their beliefs and change their opinions? Perhaps they did have real. Epiphanes cool. I doubt it though, because nothing has changed with the Republican party folks.

That's the thing. I think so many people are missing about this. The Republican party didn't become bad after November 3rd. That's not like when suddenly everything changed and Oh my God, they're trying to undo the will of the people. Um, have you not been paying attention to what's happening in this country for the last 25 years Republicans at the state level, hell Republicans at the federal level too, uh, have been working overtime for 25 years or more to overturn the will of the people by not letting everybody vote by putting more and more hurdles in place, legal hurdles, hurdles to prevent individuals from being able to vote. Even though they're legally allowed to vote. Why didn't that set you off? Why was it just a series of designed to fail loss suits that did it? Huh? No. See that's why I don't believe these sudden changes of heart are real.

I don't believe these Epiphanes. I don't believe any of them were visited by three ghosts last night. These are people looking for the next grift. The Lincoln project is looking for the next money pot and they found it on the left because don't get me wrong. The Lincoln project is good at what they do. They're just not actually trying to do anything. They were trying to get rid of Trump now. Hey, good. He's gone. Great. Everybody's happy about that. However, now you got to figure out what you are as an organization. You've off a lot of the Republicans. You can't go back there. Oh look, you made Democrats happy. Maybe there's some money to be made on that side. Right? Steve Schmidt. That's what you're after here. I mean, hell earlier in this week you actually mentioned AOC. Uh, when you were talking to AOC, you said, Hey, I actually have a lot of respect for Barton tenders. You can take the man out of the Republican party, but you can't take the Republican out of the man. These people are not our friends. These people are not our allies. And these people will not be a part of the same party that I am. And if they're the ones who are being welcomed, then I guess I'm the one that needs to find the door.
