4:18Now PlayingOperation Warp Speed - the program that Trump created to help develop and then distribute the COVID vaccine - has already proven to be a failure by its own standards. Operation warp speed. The program that Donald Trump put in place to, uh, give billions of dollars to drug companies to develop the COVID vaccine. Um, the ones who ended up developing it were actually the ones who didn't take federal money from the U S government, but whatever, uh, he wants credit for the vaccine. Now the vaccines have arrived. We're starting to see them rolling out. And unfortunately the whole program is flawed and not working properly. Now this is pretty much to be expected. This is the hallmark of the Trump administration, you know, having an idea and then executing it to as poorly as humanly possible. And that's what we're seeing right now with this vaccine rollout, rather than having any kind of national federal standards as to how to make this happen as to who to give it to first, Trump has just like he did with COVID regulations, left it up to each individual state.
So depending on where you are in the country, you've got, I'll look up and see what your state is doing because Trump just kicks the can down the road and says, I don't want to deal with it. You deal with it. Uh, operation warp speed has already fallen, uh, well short of their goal. Uh, they're 90% short of their goal, by the way, because Trump had promised we'll have 20 million vaccine doses administered by the end of the year, uh, they had 2 million, so they only had 10% of their goal reached by the end of the year. That's a failure. Uh, you, you got 10%. That's an F yeah, that's what we get. That's what we get. When we put a guy in charge of the country that doesn't know how to run a country, that doesn't understand how government works, that doesn't understand how leadership chip works.
See in the business world, the only, or the CEO, whoever it is when you're running a multi-billion dollar corporation, you're not involved in every single little aspect of everything that happens. You know, you delegate, you have your managers, you have all those people along the totem pole to keep things running for you. And you just cash your paycheck when you're running a government. It's not that easy. See? Cause at the end of the day, it all comes back onto you. You are presented from these cabinet members with information that you have to make the final decision on, in matters of national emergencies. You can't just say, well, I guess you lower managers. You're in charge here. Figure it out. I'm going on vacation. I need to play another round of golf this week. That's not how it works, but that is how Trump thinks it works. And that is why having a businessman as president has been an abject failure. Oh your since day one, this man has managed to mishandle more catastrophes than most presidents even get to handle it all. Hurricane Maria, hurricane Harvey wildfires in California, wildfires in California, again, wildfires in California, a third time, massive flooding on the East coast, immigration COVID other hurricanes, hurricane Michael down here in Florida.
This man has been given every possible opportunity to show that he is capable of doing something correctly of leading through a crisis. COVID was the final test that he was giving AF given after having failed every single one before that. And guess what? This was a failure too. And this was the biggest one so far, you know, if you had to get only one, right. You know, COVID, it would have been a good thing to get that one. Right. But this was the biggest failure of all. And even when we finally get towards the finish line with this vaccine, this idiot can't even manage to do that. Right.
