4:33Now PlayingAccording to reports, Donald Trump was furious about the fact that Joe Biden was going to have REAL celebrities at his inaugural celebrations after Trump had to settle for the bottom of the barrel celebrities back in 2017. But the real issue is that none of this even matters, and Farron Cousins explains why.

Well folks, today's the day. In fact, now's the time Donald Trump is no longer the president of the United States, Joe Biden has been sworn in that nightmare of Trump is now over. We just now enter a new nightmare. Um, but anyway, one last thing, in fact, you know what, probably not going to be the last time we ever talk about Trump. But what is funny is that one of the last stories that came out yesterday about Donald Trump was about the fact that the guy was furious, like flew into a rage, according to his aides, because Joe Biden was going to have such cool celebrity birdies at his inauguration celebrities like lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, as Tom Hanks, and plenty, others wanted to, you know, either do a message, uh, possibly perform, uh, just in some way or other be involved with Joe Biden's inauguration. And the reason this off Donald Trump was because he couldn't get celebrities to do his, uh, I think Toby Keith actually did do something for Trump's inauguration, some kind of performance that if you remember it, um, he looked incredibly intoxicated, you know, kinda mumbling his way through his own songs.
Like he didn't even know the words, uh, which so, you know, I mean, I guess that's the best Trump could do, but, but Joe, Biden's got actually real celebrity here and nobody should care. Look, I am totally okay with celebrities voicing their political opinions. Absolutely. But if you're actually influenced on your political opinion by a celebrity, then you must not have any real beliefs to begin with. That's how I feel about it. Like a celebrity's opinion about politics is no more valuable and shouldn't be given any more merit than your neighbor's opinion about politics, right? Can we stop idolizing these people for their political opinions? There's plenty of celebrities out there who are on the right and I don't care. I will still enjoy their work. The ones on the left. Fantastic. You agree with me? And I honest to God couldn't care less about it.
The only people in fact who actually do care are the elite themselves, because those are the people they want to rub elbows with. Those are the people they want to hang out with. Those are the people they want to be associated with because by God you want to be cool. And I'm sorry, but being in politics has never viewed as being the cool thing. Celebrities are cool. You know, celebrities are the popular kids. Those are the ones you want to hang out with. You're kind of the dorky, nerdy kids, you know, policies and procedures and parliamentary procedure. Yeah. Cool. But the comes around and you're like, Hey yeah, I'm hanging out with Jennifer Lopez today. What are you doing? Yeah. Yeah. She, she digs my politics. That's cool. Again. Fantastic. Also completely irrelevant. Let's make politics boring again. How about that? How about we focus on policy instead of who is friends with the president of the United States?
You know, Trump tried to hype up Kanye, uh, and, and Kim Kardashian like, Oh, she's meeting with the president. Sure. She got some good things done, but that's the thing Kim Kardashian did Kanye. Didn't Kanye used it to boost his ego. Trump used Khan Kanye to boost his ego. Let's not do that anymore. I don't care. What I care about is the fact that we have Americans dying every year because they don't have access to health care. What I care about is that we've now crossed 400,000 deaths from COVID-19. What I care about is the destruction of the environment here in the United States. I don't care if Joe Biden has a middle school band as the entertainment for his inauguration, because I'm not ever going to be at a presidential inauguration. He needs to focus on policy and helping Americans. And Trump just needs to disappear because since he's not president anymore, nobody should really care what he has to say.
